In ancient Egypt, Seshat was "she who scribes", a deity of writing. She was a
patron of architecture, astronomy and measurement mathematics. This 24" necklace features
a zoisite gemstone pendant with measurable qualities: it is 2 1/2" long by 1 1/2"
wide and weighs nearly 2 ounces. Behind it is a circle of gold with magnesite beads, and the
pendant hangs from three leather cords of royal purple, dark green and light green. The clasp
is a silver-plate brass toggle. It is not a lightweight necklace but it is distinctive
and strong, much like the Egyptian goddess.
