Of all the possible nicknames for Arizona, the "Grand Canyon State" is obvious but lacks imagination. Why not the "Fascinated with Rain State" or "Cooking Eggs in the Car State" or "Amazing Sunset State" or "Most Unwelcoming Vegetation State"? Nothing against the Grand Canyon; it is amazing, as are Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly, the San Francisco Peaks, the Sonoran desert, Organ Pipe and other outstanding areas. Arizona is also the copper state, one of the reasons turquoise is so prevalent. The Sleeping Beauty mine located outside Globe, Arizona produced turquoise deep blue in color and virtually without matrix (rare for turquoise) that also didn't need to be stabilized. While still an active mine, the focus is copper rather than turquoise so Sleeping Beauty turquoise now joins other rare turquoise from old mines, such as Bisbee or Morenci turquoise. Because supply is dwindling, the price for Sleeping Beauty turquoise and other turquoise from Arizona has very much increased. The whimsical sterling silver charms feature southwestern themes, and the bracelet is a great momento from a unique state.

Care & cleaning: Store bracelet flat when not in use to prevent stretching or kinking wire. Clean with warm soapy water and avoid chemical or abrasive cleaners. Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to clean tarnish appearing on silver.

The sterling silver charms may be pulled off the bracelet with determined tugging and these can be a choke hazard, so it's recommended to keep this out of reach. As with all beaded jewelry: do not let young toddlers chew on it.
