In Mayan tradition, Wacah Chan (the World Tree) had its roots in the underworld, its trunk in the middle, mortal world, and its branches stretching into the heavens. Wacah Chan means "erect serpent" and anchored astrological observations of the Milky Way to the horizon at different times of the year. This 24" double strand necklace is like the trunk in the mortal realm with its earthy colors and mosaic appearance. The longer rectangular beads of serpentine contrast nicely with the square river stone. Stones are hand knotted on silk cord for strength and flexibility, and the necklace fastens with a sterling silver lobster claw clasp with sterling silver oval chain.

Cost: $44.00 USD
