The Southwest served as a place of inspiration for novelist Willa Cather. She traveled to Flagstaff in 1912 and visited nearby Walnut Canyon National Monument, whose ancient cliff dwellings appeared in later novels The Song of the Lark, The Professor's House, and Death Comes for the Archbishop. This 18" necklace features apatite and turquoise gemstones, which are found in regions rich with copper ore (like Arizona) that formed from the action of hot waters and volcanism with sediments. The pendant is handcrafted by artisans and features turquoise and shell cabochons, and the double strand chain is made of sterling silver and apatite links. Sterling silver toggle clasp.
